Coffee Morning with Awards for All
Please find information and a booking form on a session we are hosting with Big Lotteries Fund around Awards for All.
This event is to take place on Tues 16th Aug 2011, 10am @ SRCGA premises.
BLF have wrote to us and said, “I am contacting you because Stockton has been identified as a priority area this year for Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme. This basically means we aren’t getting as much Awards for All money as we’d like into your area.”
We wrote back and said people from Stockton were applying but getting turned down so therefore could Lotteries give some insight into this and let us know where we’re going wrong.
So this is your opportunity to ask question on an Awards for All bid that was not successful or if you’ve heard negative stories about applying and want to have those barriers removed.
If anyone is willing to have their application shared and discussed please let me know – we can remove names and personal info if you want your identity to remain anonymous.
NB: Lotteries will not have time to view each application as a 1-2-1 query, if you bring a previous application it is for your own guidance & reference and general questions can be asked for clarity - if the session has not already answered those queries for you, which is the aim of this event.
Info from Big Lotteries:
Do you need funding for a small project? The Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme makes grants of between £300-£10,000 for projects that can be completed within 12 months. Voluntary sector groups, schools, parish or town councils and health bodies can apply for a maximum of £10,000 in a 12 month period.
Big Lottery Fund would especially like to see more applications from Stockton.

or contact the BIG Advice Line on 0845 4 10 20 30 (Mini: 0845 6 02 16 59).
Some examples of recently funded projects below:
Stillington and Whitton Residents’ and Neighbourhood Watch Association were awarded £7,205 in January 2010 to establish a martial arts club for young people in their area. The award allowed the association to purchase equipment and hire an instructor in order to provide two sessions each week for different age ranges. The project helped young people to develop their self-esteem and respect for other people whilst also providing a new activity in this rural community, helping to reduce the level of isolation and anti-social behaviour in the area.
The Village Primary School were awarded £5,800 in March 2010 to provide IT training for parents of children attending the school. An IT tutor was used to provide afternoon and evening IT sessions to help members of the community enhance their employability skills and access jobs.
